After Daniel’s 1st birthday, Eddie celebrated his 2nd Father’s Day!
A couple weeks later, Daniel’s Abuelita & Tia Patty (Eddie’s mom & sister) arrived from CA! It was such a blessing to get to spend the week with them. Not only did we get to spend time with them, we were also blessed with some wonderful Mexican cooking by Eddie’s mom. While they visited, Daniel quickly figured out that he was the center of their attention. He made sure to “ham” up every chance he got. Silly boy! He easily charmed his way into his Abuelita’s & Tia’s hearts.
While they visited, we held Daniel’s 1st birthday party at a local park. It was a hot day, but thankfully, we had plenty of shade. We were joined by my family, as well as some friends. Eddie’s mom & sister cooked yummy cheese enchiladas, Mexican rice & beans for lunch! It was a fun day. Daniel even participated in the present opening a little bit.

Following a whirlwind visit from Eddie's sweet family, we celebrated Independence Day. We spent the day at my parents' house. We enjoyed yummy food & spending time together. To end the day, there were fireworks. Since Daniel had been too young to enjoy fireworks last year (he was not even 1 month yet), Eddie made sure we had some that Daniel would be able to see (from a distance). Daniel loved watching & listening to the fireworks. It was a great way to end the day. I will make sure to post some photos of it soon!
