Fair

So, on Saturday, we went to the North Georgia State Fair. It wasn't quite a big as we expected, but we still had a great time. The weather was absolutely perfect, so that made it even better. We checked out the usual animals, arts & crafts winners, and of course...the food:) Among the picks were a funnel cake & shaved ice. It was fun just walking around & people watching. We're looking forward to going to the Cumming Fair next month & hopefully apple picking too!
The rest of the weekend was spent at home for the most part. We've been trying to conserve gas since, for some reason, our gas supply is still running short even though Ike is long gone from the Texas coast. There are apparently no answers as to when the shortage of gas will be over. Today, Sarah was blessed to find a station with gas AND she only had to wait in line about 10 minutes.
We've really been enjoying the change in seasons out here. It's very obvious when summer is over. The air smells & feels different, the sky even looks different. We're looking forward to the fall colors.
Eddie's job search continues. Not a whole lot to report on that front. God still continues to provide for us, so we're just left to wait and see what He has for us.
