Precious blessings

Daniel is such a joy to be around. He is constantly "chatting" with Eddie and I. When he is on his tummy, he seems to be gearing up to crawl - he is beginning to push up with his legs. His current, favorite toy is a Baby Einstein octopus with a rattle on it. He loves it so much - even "talking" with it sometimes.
Each day after work I am spending some time playing with him & reading to him. That is such a fun time! I look forward to it each day. I look forward to a time when, hopefully I can stay home with our sweet little boy. But for now, Eddie is truly enjoying our little blessing.
Each day I come home, he tells me all that happened that day while I was gone. I am so thankful that Eddie can stay home with him & that he can bond with Daniel in such a meaningful way. While I don't understand why God has not yet provided a job for Eddie, I am so grateful that Eddie has this time with our son. How many fathers have time like this? Not many. While it may not be what we typically consider as "ideal", I am seeing many blessings come from it. Eddie & I still look forward to that "ideal", but for now, we are so thankful that God continues to provide for our needs & bless us in ways we don't expect.
