Happy Birthday, Eddie!

So yesterday was Eddie's birthday!
We started celebrating last night by going out for sushi with some friends (No, I didn't have sushi). Eddie hasn't been out for real sushi in over a year, so this was a real treat :)

After dinner, there was homemade chocolate chip cheesecake made at Eddie' request :) It was a great time with friends and yummy food!
Today, we went to Atlanta to visit the Centennial Olympic Park, the World of Coca-Cola & the Georgia Aquarium. It was really cold when we left this morning (27 degrees!!!!). The drive was only about 25 minutes from where we live :)

Even though it was cold, it was fun to just walk around & see the sights

After our walk, it was on the the World of Coca-Cola.

Here's Mr. Pemberton (the creator of Coca-Cola) handing Eddie a glass ;P

This was the coolest costume we had ever seen - the eyes & mouth could move to make expressions. We checked out the various exhibits & tasted around 60 different Coke products (not all of them were Coca-Cola).
Then we went to the Georgia Aquarium...

What makes this aquarium special is that they have whale sharks!
They are HUGE and amazing to watch.

Eddie got to touch some of the rays they have in their "touching pond".
There are A LOT more photos, but I won't bore you with all of them. :)
After the aquarium, we ended the day with lunch at The Varsity, which is a hot dog/hamburger type place, that is a landmark/icon in Atlanta. It has actually been featured on the Food Network before, so of course we had to go to check it out. It WAS indeed an experience (a good one).

It was a fun day overall & we are hoping to go check out more of the Atlanta sights soon:)
